Closed joint stock company "Atlant" began its history in 1959, when a government decision was made to create an enterprise for the production of refrigerators on the basis of a plant that produced gas equipment. Until that time, such household appliances had not been produced in Belarus.
The first Minsk-1 refrigerator was released in 1962. After that, for the first time in the USSR, a two-chamber model of household appliances was developed and the production of freezers was launched.
