The use of LEDs as lighting devices is one of the promising areas in lighting. The good quality of the light itself, high brightness and directivity of the light beam, low power consumption and duration of operation make these devices unique. It is not surprising that now there are good lamps and spotlights based on high-power LEDs, the scope of which is constantly expanding. Automotive industry, street LED lamp, traffic lights and lighting of offices and buildings, billboards and video surveillance - this is not a complete list where these devices can be used.
However, in addition to the advantages, devices based on LEDs also have certain disadvantages. The main one, of course, is the high cost of the device. Also, LEDs are afraid of surges, which must be taken into account when creating projects based on suchdevices. However, the design of the device is simple, and even a non-specialist is quite capable of making an LED lamp with his own hands, using a set of inexpensive parts. Its power is quite enough to illuminate the room at night. It is beneficial to use LEDs as a night light, since the consumption of such a device will be several times less than that of a household device based on incandescent lamps.
In order to make an LED lamp with our own hands, we will prepare the necessary details. The housing for the night light can be taken from a standard 5-12 Volt power supply. be assembled together and go through a limiting resistor to the plus of the power supply, the cathodes, respectively, through the fusible link - to minus. Pay attention to the power of the power supply. It must exceed the power consumption of the load. That's it - you made a LED lamp with your own hands. Its power is small, but this is quite enough to illuminate the room at night.
Now you can go further and make a more powerful device that will save you from overpaying your electricity bills. A do-it-yourself LED lamp can also be made for the office, because it is no secret that commercial organizations pay for electricity at inflated rates. As a body, you can use a standard fluorescent lamp, removing all the details from it and leaving one body. We mount the aluminum LED strips inside the case and power the entire circuit from a standard power source. You've got an office LED light that can light up a large area.
