GOST requirements for the design and materials of earmuffs

An obligatory part of the equipment of production workers with an increased level of danger to the human hearing organs are earmuffs. GOST R 12.4.210-99 contains general technical requirementsto this device, which must be observed by the system. Hearing protector material and design requirements:

  1. Headphones must be made of materials that exclude the possibility of allergic or other undesirable reactions, including mechanical damage to human skin.
  2. Details of the structure must be rounded, without sharp edges and must not have external damage.
  3. Changing shock absorbers or liners should not require special tools.

General requirements GOST

Anti-noise headphones, first of all, must comply with the parameters of a certain size - S, M, L. To control compliance with this condition, there are special models of a person's head of appropriate sizes. They check the adjustment range of the cup holders and the distance between the ear pads.

According to GOST:

  • maximum allowable headband pressure force - 14 H;
  • ear cushions of the headphones should fit snugly, without gaps, to the test layout;
  • maximum allowable shock absorber pressure - 4500 Pa;
  • when dropped, the headphone parts should not fall off or crack;
  • if the shock absorbers are filled with liquid, there should be no leakage;
  • headphones should not be easily flammable;
  • The device must provide a minimum level of noise absorption.

Design of earmuffs

  • standard:
