Self-installation of parking sensors
Installation of a secure parking system begins with markings. To do this, construction tape is glued in the approximate installation locations. All the necessary markup is done on it. It is recommended to install the parking sensors half a meter lower than the upper edge of the sidelight. At least 50-70 centimeters should remain to the ground. Leave about 40-45 cm from the sensors to the edge of the bumper. The central sensors are installed at intervals of about 50 centimeters.
Next, holes are made in the marked places. To do this, use the cutter included in the delivery. The tape is no longer needed and can be removed. Sensors are inserted into the obtained holes. The wires are pulled inward. Behind the wires are pulled through the existing technological holes in the trunk. The wires from the sensors located in front are pulled under the plastic into the passenger compartment. It will only be necessary to remove some plastic parts on the panel. You can do this with a regular screwdriver.
Connecting the system
After installing the sensors, you need to connect Aviline (Parktronic). The installation instructions included in the package will help you do this if you have any questions.
The power supply is usually installed in the trunk. It connects to the rear light socket. This is done sequentially, taking into account the color of the wires:
- Black - on the body.
- Yellow goes to plus.
- Green joins stop light.
- Redconnects to the ignition.
Next, the display is set. You can choose a place for it at your discretion. Having connected the control unit to the display, it is necessary to check the operability of the entire system.
To do this, insert the key into the ignition (you do not need to start the car), turn on the reverse gear. Bring a hard object near the sensors on the rear bumper. By changing the position of the gearbox, we check the operation of the front sensors in the same way.
