With it, they read books, watch videos, hold meetings, work with office applications, and even (if you have a 3g module or Wi-Fi) go online. Tablets with a SIM card are now presented in a very wide range, and there is plenty to choose from. But the choice of a gadget with this function is far from always justified. Consider all the pros and cons of such a solution.

These devices have a special 3g-module inside, designed to access the network using a mobile operator. Therefore, often such tablets with a SIM card are now called Internet tablets. After all, it was precisely for access to the World Wide Web that they were created. Access to the network using tablets can be done using one of two technologies: Wi-Fi or 3g. There are only two disadvantages of such devices, but for some potential users, they may outweigh all of the above advantages. The first is, of course, the price. You don’t really want to overpay a decent amount for 3g, especially if you plan to use the tablet in an apartment that already has a router. The second point is that most of the built-in modems work on the network only of those operators that support the UMTC standard. And this significantly reduces the coverage area. For example, now in Ukraine the only holder of a license for this standard is Trimob- mobile division of Ukrtelecom.

Users who want to always have access to the network, but do not want to put up with these disadvantages, can use the following compromise options:
- Purchase an additional 3g-USB modem of any operator you like and choose the tariff plan that suits you best.
- Use a portable Wi-Fi tethering.
- Set up network access on your smartphone and enjoy wireless internet via Wi-Fi on your tablet.
As you can see, it all depends on the specific conditions for using the gadget. In any case, the availability of different options and the development of technology cannot but please any person who wants to keep up with the times.
