If you put together the following devices, you get a LED running line. Doing it with your own hands is not so difficult. The main thing is to carefully follow the assembly instructions. What do we need?

  • The motherboard, or, in other words, the controller.
  • LED modules for tickers.
  • Multiple power supplies.
  • Power cables and cables.
  • Magnets.
  • Aluminum profile.
  • Aluminum corner.
  • Wires 2-1.5mm.
  • Screws, self-tapping screws and sealant.

Tools should be at hand:

  • Cutting saw.
  • Electric drill.
  • Screwdriver.

Taking into account what the LED running line is intended for, its size is important. It depends on the aluminum profile from which the body will be made. There are three types of it:

  • Narrow aluminum profile - ideal for automotive advertising.
  • Medium aluminum profile - designed to assemble scoreboards up to 6 meters in size.
  • Wide aluminum profile - Designed for cases over 6 meters, their size can last indefinitely.

Step by step string assembly

  1. Lay out the modules on a flat surface (table) in a horizontal position, strictly from left to right - as indicated on the modules themselves.
  2. After laying out the required number of modules, they must be connected with wires and power cables to each other. To do this, the module has the necessary slots for wires and cables (always with a red stripe up). Then connect the module with guides. They can be single-row, two-, three- or four-row. Place the rails on the modules in accordance with the holes provided for the screws on the reverse side of the LEDs and tighten the screws.
  3. Connect the power supply to the controller with wires 2–1.5 mm. It also has a hole for attaching the cable and wires. Using a cable, connect the motherboard to the module. One 40 amp power supply is enough for 7-8 modules, but in order to avoid overheating and breakdowns, it is best to take one unit for 6 modules.

  5. If there are several power supplies, they must be connected in series.
  6. Next, you need to carefully seal everything. To do this, with the help of a sealant, you need to lubricate all the joints of the modules. Need to do itcarefully enough. The result should be a sealed mosaic of LED modules interconnected by wires, power supplies and guides.
  7. Now you can start assembling the case. Thanks to various profile sizes, you can assemble almost any shape of the case, and you will get exactly your LED ticker. With your own hands and efforts, you will ensure that it will acquire the design and size you need. It all depends on its purpose. To do this, cut the aluminum profile according to the specified dimensions, but reduce the length by 2-3 mm. Use the corners to assemble the frame.
  8. Insert the prepared LED mosaic into the aluminum profile frame. Drill a hole in one side of the case for the power cable and USB output.
  9. Cut a suitable back wall from a thin sheet of any metal. And with the help of self-tapping screws and a screwdriver, attach to the main body. And with the help of a sealant, cover all the joints.
  10. The last step is programming the finished scoreboard. The program for the LED running line can be of varying complexity. This operation can be done with any ticker software.

If all the instructions and requirements have been followed, you should get a working LED running line. As it turned out, it is not so difficult to assemble it with your own hands!

Due to the ability to program the ticker, it can carry almost anyinformation.

  • Show the route, arrival and departure time in buses and stops.
  • In cafes and restaurants, advertise the menu or dish of the day.
  • In banks and exchange kiosks, set exchange rates for everyone to see.
  • In any public places, gently and unobtrusively advertise various things and services.
  • They are also ideal for indicating the current time and ambient temperature. But for this you need to build a clock and an electronic thermometer (temperature sensor) into it.

Programs can also differ from each other in the speed of reproduction of a given text, the way letters appear, and much more. 30 different kinds of effects can be used when programming the LED display.
