It all started in Florence in 1904, when a young waiter, Guccio Gucci, was inspired by the bags and accessories of we althy diners to open his first workshop, making suitcases and travel shoes.
In 1928, the first personalized boutique opens in Rome, and later Gucci turns into an independent fashion house. The 40s and 50s are the peak of the brand's fame, when bags and suitcases with bamboo handles, bright suede shoes, etc. appear.
