Russian technologies in the field of communications do not stand still. Moreover, they are ambitiously declaring themselves on the world market. Yota Devices at the last representative consumer electronics exhibition CES-2013 introduced YotaPhone (Yotafon) to the general public. This is a completely new Russian smartphone with an original design, a rich set of functions, as well as two large screens and capable of working in LTE networks, that is, next generation networks.

No one believed

How was the first Russian smartphone "born"? The project was conceived in 2010. It was then that for the first time Dmitry Medvedev was shown a model of the future Russian mobile device. It was a very interesting innovative project of the Scartel company, and Yota Devices will come out of it in the future. At that time, no one fully believed that in two years the world courtthe public will see the first Russian smartphones. Yes, they will not just stand aside somewhere, but will be in the center of attention of critics and will rightfully become the winners of the Mobile Devices nomination, leaving behind the favorite of that day - Xperia Z.

Even the leaders were beaten

What is so hooked in this device? Is it possible that a Russian smartphone with two screens fell in love only for its design? About everything in order. Perhaps no one will deny that Russian developers in the field of communications have always had interesting thoughts and ideas. However, things did not always reach the beginning of mass production. In the case of Yotafon, everything turned out in the best way. Russian smartphones have managed to get ahead of even the traditional leaders of the mobile world. The fact that the phone has two screens is not a know-how. But having an e-ink display is something special. In addition, the device is able to work in all known high-speed cellular networks, both in Russia and in the world.

Lots of useful features

Russian smartphones from YotaPhone are able to carry out their work based on Android (Jelly Bean 4.2). The processor is "charged" with 2 GB of RAM. However, the built-in memory did not let us down. It is no worse than similar copies - 32/64 GB. Among other things, the “newcomer” was equipped with a pair of video cameras and the ability to support LTE, 3G and GSM standards. By the way, with all this, Russian smartphones organically combineat the same time book reader. The screen placed on the back of the device, using the "electronic ink" system, is able to work continuously. At the same time, the display consumes a minimum of energy. Thanks to this, the battery of the mobile device lasts a very long time. As already mentioned, I was pleasantly surprised by the design. It looks original, functional and at the same time quite compact. The public is skeptical about Russian creation. It is perceived more as a kind of momentary fashion trend that will soon pass, giving way to the real sharks of the mobile world - Nokia, Samsung and Iphone. However, the makings of a Russian mobile device are good, so let's not rush to conclusions. Perhaps this device will be able to make a technological leap and become a trendsetter in the world of smart phones. But whether it will be so - time will tell.
