You can admire iPads as much as you want and praise their design with stuffing, and also argue that these are the best tablets of our time, but they have one, and quite critical, especially for domestic consumers, the disadvantage is the price.
When you need an ordinary mobile gadget to access the Internet, without frills and bells and whistles like True Tone technology or stunning screen resolution, coupled with other "magic" from the famous Apple, many people prefer more mundane devices. The thing here is that for the price that is asked for an "apple" device, you can buy almost a dozen 7-inch Digma tablets. The latter can be found on popular Internet sites for less than five thousand rubles, so there is something to deal with.
So, the hero of today's review is the Plane 7502 4G model, a tablet from Digma. The characteristics of the device, its advantages and disadvantages, as well as the feasibility of buying will be discussed in our article. Let's take into account the opinions of experts in this field and the reviews of ordinary users of this model.
Positioning
In the world of mobile devices, size is one of the defining values. Tablets, in turn, confidentlyhold the niche between smartphones and full-fledged laptops and have noticeably squeezed the once popular netbook segment.
As such, the class of 7-inch gadgets is largely the merit of the venerable Asus company, which took the market in its hands with the sensational EeeRS series in time. We see a similar solution in the 7-inch Digma tablet.
In fact, this is the best option for a universal gadget. It easily fits in a bag or backpack and will always help out in almost any specific situation. So the manufacturer made the right choice of form factor.
Appearance
Black color is a real scourge for neat people and aesthetes, but the manufacturer did not further aggravate the situation and completely abandoned glossy, as well as easily soiled materials. Reviews about the tablet "Digma" on this occasion are unequivocal: matte, and besides, graphite-colored plastic clearly contributes to the careful attitude and long life of the device body.
The exterior of the gadget is not much different from a bunch of other budget models. Here we have a thick frame framing the screen, and behind - the usual camera eye on top and a logo in the middle. The latter just distinguishes the device from hundreds of others. It is also worth clarifying that there is no cover included with the Digma tablet, therefore, in order to preserve, as they say, the presentation, it is better to immediately take care of buying it.
Interfaces
The location of the interfaces is the same universal: the power button and the volume rocker on the right side, and slots for externaldrive and mobile operator cards are located under the top cover. The latter, by the way, is very difficult to remove, and on this occasion, users leave far from flattering reviews about the Digma tablet.
To access the slots, you need to have either sharp and strong nails, or a tool at hand. But this moment can hardly be called critical, because the lid, as a rule, is not removed every day, and rather not every month.
Assembly
The company obviously made the right choice with the choice and quality of the material. Judging by the reviews of the Digma tablet, users are delighted with the plastic stylized as metal, which is also pleasant to the touch and not marks.
Consumers have no complaints about the build quality. Nothing creaks, no backlash, no crunches. In general, the model can not be called frankly budget. Yes, plastic is felt, but the solidity of the design and high-quality material inspire confidence. There were also no problems with the button and the volume rocker: if the Digma tablet does not turn on, then the problem is probably not in the mechanics, but in the “stuffing”.
Screen
For the minimum screen diagonal of 7 inches for tablets, the device received a very intelligent, and most importantly, a bright IPS-matrix, which is a rarity in the budget segment. Moreover, it comes to the fact that the screen settings of the Digma tablet have to be reset below average values, which is especially important in dark rooms.
Matrix layout – 1024600 points, which is enough for comfortable work with almost any application. Reviews about the tablet "Digma" in this regard are ambiguous. On the one hand, it may seem that the resolution is too modest, and some even see pixelation, but on the other hand, all interface elements are perfectly readable and perceived: the icons are large, and the text is understandable.
IPS-technology did a great job of increasing the viewing angles, and everything is in perfect order with them. You can easily look through a photo or watch a video in the company of two or even three like-minded people. The picture starts to dance only if you turn the gadget well.
Performance
It is becoming increasingly difficult for manufacturers to surprise consumers with some new products and "chips". As a rule, there is a whole gulf between the marketing specification of a product and the actual technical characteristics.
Marketers go to different tricks and tricks, just to capture the attention of the client. In general, you can put at least an 8-core processor in a mobile device and add 8 GB of RAM in addition, but there are no guarantees that this will make it work faster and more stable.
In our case, we have a rather attractive set of chipsets represented by a 4-core processor Spreadtrum sc9830. The latter proved to be excellent on board the Taba from Samsung and has no critical complaints from both experts and users. This is a time-tested processor - moderately productive and moderately voracious.
One gigabyte of RAM is enough for flawless operation of the interface: no jerks, lags or freezes. But here we are talking about the basic version of "Android 5.1" with the prefix "Lolipop". If you got some other modification, for example, from a cellular operator, or an older version of the platform, then it is difficult to guarantee the stability and smoothness of the interface.
Judging by user reviews, the stock firmware of the Digma tablet remains as an iron method for eliminating lags and friezes. It can be found on the official website of the company if you want to do everything yourself, or you can take the device to a service center and pay 500-700 rubles to get a turnkey system.
Digma 3G-tablet is perfect for surfing the Net. Problems begin during the launch of "heavy" toys and other serious applications. Arcade programs from Google Play are going with a bang, but demanding shooters or full-blown strategies start to slow down terribly. Resetting graphics settings to the minimum usually helps, but sometimes you just have to refuse such software.
Communication
If you don't surprise anyone with smartphones with two SIM cards, then a tablet, and even a budget one, with such capabilities is a curiosity. There are no complaints about the quality of communication of both modules: everything works stably, and if the signal reception bar jumps, it is only due to the fault of the mobile operator, and not the tablet.
There is also support for wireless protocols. There are no questions about bluetooth, but Wi-Fiworks stably both at a frequency of 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz, which is good news. The regular GPS-module proved to be very good, so the gadget can be safely used as a navigator in the car.
Offline work time
The device received a relatively modest 2800 mAh battery. Its capacity is enough for three hours of work in 4G mode and for "heavy" toys for the same time. Wi-Fi wireless protocol will drain the battery in 8 hours, and if you watch high-definition video, the battery will sit down in about five to six hours.
The indicators are not the most inspiring, but if we shift all these maximums to the usual measured day, then a tablet should definitely be enough for a day and even a couple. If you look in the direction of competing analogues, then a good half of budget segment gadgets cannot offer this either. So here we have a solid average.
Summing up
The scope of this tablet is difficult to determine. It will look great in the hands of a child, fit perfectly as an entertainment center in a car interior, and also help to spend leisure time at home watching videos or reading books. So for the most part, the tablet turned out to be universal, and its use cannot be limited to any particular group of users.
