Lenovo has a worthy successor to the previous Y500 line in the face of the Lenovo Ideapad Y510p, which has acquired quite interesting and worthy multimedia capabilities. A relatively powerful fourth-generation quad-core processor is responsible for the performance of the device, and coupled with a good GT 755M graphics card from Nvidia and 8 GB of RAM on board, the gadget will delight users with its speed in modern applications and games.
So, the hero of today's review is the Lenovo Y510p laptop. Let's try to analyze in detail all its advantages and disadvantages, taking into account the opinions of experts and reviews of ordinary laptop owners.
Design
In its appearance, the new model is practically no different from its predecessor, which makes it hostage to both the pros and cons of the design of the previous line. The main flaws in the body remained the same: the device flexes in places and actively collects fingerprints.
Otherwise, this is a solid model with already familiar Lenovo features: rough panels with sharp edges, rounded corners and a combination of high-quality plastic with aluminum. It should be noted separately that the Lenovo Y510p covermade of metal and decorated with a simple, but quite friendly texture, the main component of which are horizontal stripes, so it is very difficult to call the model strict. This will allow you to solve tasks or play faster, especially since with six megabytes of third-level cache and Hyper-Threading multi-threading technology, the laptop is able to “digest” up to eight data streams. The Intel chip isn't energy efficient at 47W TDP, but something has to be sacrificed for performance for the Lenovo Y510p.
The graphics card (Intel's HD Graphics 4600) works in tandem with the processor and is only marginally superior to its predecessors from the previous 4000 and 4400 models.
As an alternative to the integrated graphics chip, the laptop is equipped with a fairly powerful system from Nvidia in the face of GT 755M with 2 GB GDDR5 memory on board. But even if this seems not enough, then there is always the opportunity to install a second video card, since the design feature provides for this, but with the only caveat: the second board must also be from Nvidia.
Nevertheless, even with one video card on board, the device copes well with modern games, delivering 40-60 fps at medium settings.
Work offline
The laptop is equipped with a powerful 6-segment lithium-ion battery with an enviable capacity of 5800 mAh (62 Wh). Lenovo promises autonomous operation of the device at medium loads within five hours, but bench tests showed that the device will last for three hours for simple surfing, and at maximum load the battery runs out after one and a half to a maximum of two hours. Therefore, it is better to keep the power supply always at hand.

It's safe to say that this laptop has a lot to cling to and love. Even despite the decent cost of the Lenovo Ideapad Y510p (its price is about 65,000 rubles), the device fully justifies the money invested in it.
The main advantages of the laptop are a display with excellent viewing angles and a good supply of brightness and contrast, enviable performance with the possibility of adding a second video card, original lighting and design. Of the minuses, only a very short battery life can be distinguished (the powerful filling is to blame) and the unresponsiveness of the touchpad in some places.
