Matrix - three inches (about 7.5 cm), its resolution is 240 x 400 pixels. Colors are perfectly transmitted - the picture and video are full of rich and bright colors. It is thanks to this that watching videos on the Samsung 5230 is a pleasure itself. They look much sharper and more beautiful.
Customer reviews are mixed. We can immediately say that 90% of consumers have a single problem - the sensor quickly “fails”. His fix costs a lot of money. Of the advantages, people note a loud speaker, low cost of the device, beautiful appearance and software, a good camera. Of the minuses - the lack of Wi-Fi and 3G, the difficulty in finding a headset,weakness of the back of the body.

In the sun, the matrix behaves quite adequately: the brightness disappears, "blind spots" appear. However, the correct viewing angles and the contrast of the phone itself allow you to work with the device even in direct sunlight.

The panel has a rough surface and dot pattern, made of glossy material. The weight of the device is 94 g. It fits comfortably in the hand, does not slip.

In principle, the design of the section is very simple and clear, all manipulations can be performed literally with one or two touches, so there are no problems during operation.
Phone book
You can find the desired number by scrolling with your finger, orusing the built-in search. Information in this section of the menu, depending on the desire of the owner, is displayed in different ways: in unsorted form, by groups, by "favorite" numbers. When creating a new contact, the user will be pleasantly surprised by the amount of data they can provide. There are fields such as "birthday", "website", "note", "fax", "actual address", "mailbox", "place of work".

Multimedia
Here the user will see a wonderful multi-functional player, which is perfectly “sharpened” for finger control. Looking at it, the buyer will immediately notice the similarity with other players that the South Korean company provides in its products. You can sort files in your library by categories such as albums, genres, artists, playlists, and most played songs. Being in the player, with one click it is easy to call the equalizer or set a repeat of a particular track, send it using communication tools. And here you can put the song on the alarm and call. The sound is clear and rich. The only problem will be the lack of a universal headphone jack, but this can be easily fixed with an adapter.
Browser
This section is fully customized for user convenience. For example, you can easily enlarge or reduce an image usingswipe down or up, respectively. Returns to the original view by double-clicking on the screen. For those who find it difficult to make such manipulations with the phone, scaling is provided using the volume key.

An intuitive section like the others. Allows you to receive, edit messages, both text and multimedia, create letters for e-mail. Memory is used to store messages with attached files, and text SMS is limited to no more than 500 pieces. There are three ways to enter text: 12-key keyboard, Qwerty pad, and handwriting.

The most important section of the menu. Here you can set the desired security level, reset to factory settings, adjust the time and date, select your preferred network, change the sound profile, and adjust other settings.
All files in any of the menu sections can be sorted as a list and a grid (the button responsible for this function is located in the top left corner). Below is a small control panel that makes it easy to copy folders and files, send, delete, send to print.
How to flash Samsung 5230?
It must be remembered that flashing the phone with your own hands is carried out at your own peril and risk. It also happens when the device stops starting or does not work correctly.
So, what is needed for the firmware?
- Telephone. First you need to check its system connector. If it is dirty, then be sure to clean it. In the event that traces of corrosion are visible, for example, from liquid ingress, it makes no sense to flash it. USB cable does not recognize devices. When the device simply does not turn on, then there is no need to try to change the software, it is not the problem.
- Battery. It must be charged at leastby 50%. If during the firmware it is discharged, the phone will never turn on again.
- New PC Studio. Without this program, it will not be possible to transfer the elements necessary for the firmware from the PC. You can install it using the CD that comes with your phone, or simply download it from the Internet.
- USB cable. It is usually included in the package.
First of all, you need to make sure that PC Studio is working. After that, you should download the required firmware version from the Internet (preferably the latest). Then you need to start installing it on your computer. After completing this process, the Samsung 5230 mobile phone can be connected to the PC using USB. The program itself will recognize the connected device and start the firmware process.
After completion, you must turn on the phone. If desired, the software version can be viewed by typing the combination “1234” on the numeric keypad.
