Main difference
The most important feature of the iPhone X is that the device has a completely new design. Featuring a glass front and back, the iPhone comes in two colors - Space Gray and Silver. In both versions, it features a polished stainless steel frame around the edge that shimmers and reflects light just like the Apple Watch version in the same material.
Because of this, it is noticeably different from aluminum phones. This is immediately evident if you look at the photo of the new iPhone. The 5.8-inch display screen looks larger than the iPhone 8 Plus, but the bezel is significantly smaller thanks to a change in the look of the display. Users who thought the 8 Plus was too big will be very pleased with the design changes because the top and bottom bezels are now omitted. No familiar button
At the same time, some changes could scare some users: Apple has abandoned the Home button and Touch ID for the iPhone X and subsequent devices - XS, XS Max and XR. This fact was noted by users immediately after the release of the new iPhone. Not only is this handy for viewing photos, but it also makes text and graphics appear clearer, smoother curves, and empowers iPhone X to showcase another major change in its technology: OLED panels. It's not the highest resolution on a smartphone, but it's one of the highest quality displays you'll find.
OLED has been used in smartphones for several years, but the only use of the technology before the iPhone X was the Apple Watch. Its implementation on the iPhone is also similar to a watch, with inky deep blacks and crisp, punchy colors, only on a much larger scale. The screen is bright, crisp and very impressive, even in bright sunlight. Compared to other flagship devices, this is one of the best displays that works great in all conditions.
The display also features Apple's True Tone technology, available on the iPad Pro line, that adapts to the environment. The idea is that the color balance on the display changes depending on the lighting.
