In recent years, people are increasingly buying tablet computers or phones on foreign Internet sites. Or they bring them from overseas trips. Inspired by a successful purchase, the owners of a new device often do not think that the operating system on the tablet can be displayed in the language of the country where it was brought from, causing certain inconveniences. Next, we will look at options on how to change the language on "Android".
Changing the interface language in the Android operating system
In most cases, the language desired by the user will be present in the operating system of the device. For comfortable use of a smartphone or tablet, you only need to turn it on in the settings:
- Go to the device settings either through the status bar or through the menuapplications by clicking on the gear icon.
- Go to the menu responsible for the interface and input language.
- Select the topmost item, where we select and double-click to set Russian or any other language from the list above.
After you were able to change the language to "Android", the device does not even have to be sent for reboot.
Sometimes, in order to change the language interface of the operating system, you will have to resort to installing additional software - locale, which will partially translate the device into Russian. Since in the settings of some Chinese tablets or smartphones you may encounter such a problem as the inability to change the language to "Android".
Changing the input language in the Anroid operating system
Changing the interface language does not mean that the input method will change. Nowadays, writing in transliteration is bad manners. Changing the input method is done by pressing the globe symbol on the on-screen keyboard or by swiping on the space bar. If for some reason you cannot enter text in Russian, then in order to change the language on the Android tablet, you need to carry out such manipulations by following the instructions:
- Go to the device settings either through the status bar or through the application menu by clicking on the gear icon.
- Go to the menu responsible for the interface and input language.
- Scrolling through the items, select the one that is responsible for the keyboard - you may have installedkeyboard from Google, Samsung or any other.
- Manually mark the necessary categories with the layout.
Factory reset on Android
If suddenly you made a mistake when choosing a language interface or layout and now you don’t know how to change the language on Android, then you need to return everything to its original state. Resetting the settings will also help you if your device is very slow. There are two options for resetting Android to factory settings:
- directly from the operating system;
- using Recovery mode.
Reset from subsystem
For the first method, you need to go to the settings menu, where to reset. The name of the item on tablets and smartphones of different companies may differ. The operating system may also offer you to keep your personal data or delete it completely. This method, however, will be quite difficult for you if the language interface of the system is completely unfamiliar to you or the device sensor does not work.
Reset from Recovery Mode
In such cases, you should resort to resetting the settings by Hard Reset through Recovery. To enter Recovery mode, you need to hold down the on / off and volume up / down buttons at the same time. Once in the desired mode, use the volume up and down buttons to go to the wipe data / factory reset menu. Next, you need to select the item that offers to clear the internal memory of the tablet or phone andreboot. To confirm actions in Recovery mode, use the device's power button.
If you decide to reset the settings on Androide, then before cleaning the device, make sure that the battery is charged, and even better, connect the gadget to the power supply.
