Informational messages, notifications, letters - a very broad concept that can be found in a variety of areas. Therefore, it is worth briefly analyzing its essence and some particular features.
Analysis of the concept
An information message is a concise text containing data that is news to its readers. The reason for its creation is an information occasion. Such a message can also be defined as informative information transmitted both in writing and in various electronic ways. Most often, the concept is associated with news agencies, radio stations, television, periodicals, etc. Information publications thus form the information panorama of the day.
An information message is also a group of interconnected elementary data elements. It may contain at least two such overlapping components.
The structure of the informational message
Speaking of what isinformational message, let's briefly touch on the ideas about its structure of some theorists.
M. Grigoryan believes that three factors make an informational message interesting to the audience. This is the presence of a certain conflict, closeness in space and time. The parameters of a valid informational message should be as follows:
- unusual factors - news about an extraordinary event, a person who does not fit into the ordinary;
- availability of information about celebrities - not only "at the parade", but also about their personal lives, hobbies, everyday life;
- reaching a wide audience - any event is more interesting if a large number of people take part in it.
According to Kolesnichenko, any information publication consists of three important components:
- core - the element is always at the beginning of the message and immediately reveals all the information about the event that the reader is interested in; it is always placed here that in the first place will interest a person;
- details - here the basic information is supplemented by a number of interesting information, circumstances;
- background - text that is not directly related to the informational occasion, but helps to understand its essence (statistics, historical background, excerpt from a dictionary, etc.)
Finally, let's analyze Tretyakov's position. He believes that an information message should have at least three content layers:
- basic information - bare facts, details;
- primary objectivecomment - information that places a message in a series of similar ones, defining their relationship;
- secondary objective comment - here the reader sees the forecast of the development of the event;
- subjective comment (optional part) - the opinion of a direct participant, expert, observer, etc.

Let's give the simplest examples of informational messages:

Information messages and USE
Surely many who have recently passed or are just preparing for the Unified State Examination in computer science remember such a beginning of the task condition from the proposed training tests: "Information message with a volume of …" The task specified a certain size of the message (say, 5 Kb) and the number of characters in it (random - 2560). It was proposed to find the number of characters of the alphabet with which this message was written.
To solve it, it was necessary to know only one formula - the power (number of characters) of the alphabet: N=2i (N - power, i - bit/symbol).
Using our values, we calculate how many bits "weighs" one character: 5Kb/2560=51024 bytes/2560=5120/2560=2 bits. Nowsubstitute the value in the formula: N=22=4 characters in this alphabet.
Information messages from telecom operators
Many of us are familiar with informational messages not from a computer science course, but as a result of using a smartphone. Here, these are pop-up messages of an informational, entertaining, educational nature that appear on the screen of the gadget. They are usually not stored in the phone's memory. Through such information messages, depending on the telecom operator, you can get the following information:
- news of the day;
- weather forecast;
- exchange rate;
- horoscope;
- holiday information;
- review of the latest events in the city;
- new promotions and offers from the operator;
- entertainment content, etc.
Basically, such messages are promotional in nature. For the most part, they are paid - you can read the continuation of the news or story from the message only for a certain cost.
Disabling information messages on the phone
Most users not only do not need such a mailing, but it also significantly interferes - dozens of informational messages can come to the gadget a day. The news they contain is not unique - this data can be found on the Internet in a couple of clicks. How to turn off such messages depends on the selected operator:
