A security detector is some electronic device that generates and sends a certain signal as a reaction to a change in some set parameter. And it is about this kind of detectors that will be discussed in the article. To be more precise, we will consider the security detector model S2000-SMK.
What is a security detector and what is it for?
As already mentioned, detectors are needed in order to notify about changes in certain parameters. This means that in one situation, the sensor may notice movement, therefore, it will react to a change in the position of bodies, and in another, it will feel a change in pressure on the surface, thereby detecting a violation and giving a signal.
About types of security detectors
The first classification is determined by the type of controlled area. Here you can find point, surface, linear and volumetric examples of such a device. They can also be distinguished according to the principle of action, and this classification will be much wider. We will name just a few for now.
So, the first will be an electrical contact detector, whichis the simplest type among its relatives and is designed primarily to protect building structures (glass, doors, gates, walls and similar things) from penetration.
As for magnetic contact detectors, they are needed to block various building structures for opening (the same doors, windows, hatches, gates). We will consider a detector of this type a little below.
S2000-SMK detector model
The S200-SMK fireball belongs to magnetic contact addressable detectors. Most often it is used to protect door and window openings, both plastic and wooden. Works together with the S2000-KDP controller. The detector is triggered and sends a signal when a door or window is opened.
It is fully protected from false positives. The S2000-SMK security detector is easy to check for correct operation using a simple magnet. Among the advantages of this model, it is worth highlighting the following: modern design along with small dimensions, as well as low current consumption.
The S2000-SMK detects a zone violation in no more than 300 ms, its weight does not exceed 45 grams, and the average service life is 10 years. As for the dimensions, everything is very modest: 55 x 10 x 8 millimeters. Mounted on the wall and withstands humidity of 93% at a temperature of +40 degrees Celsius. Able to work in the temperature range from -30 to +50 degrees Celsius.
