Almost every modern person who works at a computer or is simply passionate about games is faced with the problem of choosing a headset. Which manufacturer is better? Which model to choose? What characteristics to look for? All these questions preoccupy the minds of many. But today we will answer them: meet the Dexp H-520 headphones.

The headphones are delivered to the market in a stylish white and red box made of strong and thick cardboard with an almost full-size photo of the device itself printed on top of the main coloring. In the lower left corner you can see a small footnote, which contains the main, as the manufacturer suggests, product characteristics. Looking ahead, let's say that the benefits turned out to be much more, but everything has its time.
Inside the box, the headphones are fixed with ties in a pallet made of synthetic thin plastic, which prevents them from being damaged during transportation, which means that they will arrive to the buyer safe and sound. However, it should be noted that Dexp headphones, bearing the proud title of gaming, shouldto pack more presentably. Having at least a soft pouch as a case for the headphones would be clearly useful.
In addition to the headphones, the box contains a standard set: a warranty card and a short, but very sensible user manual. Highly recommended reading.
Attention! For those who refused to read the instructions: for the correct operation of the headphones, you need additional software - drivers. The disk with this software is not included, so below is a photo that shows the instruction section explaining step by step how to install the drivers.
Physical characteristics
At first glance, the headphones look very massive. The headset is made of high-quality black impact-resistant plastic with red inserts. The work of designers is visible: on the outer side of the speaker housing there are decorative recesses that form a very catchy angular pattern. We must pay tribute to Dexp - the 520 headphones look decent in terms of design.
In addition to everything, the device is equipped with dynamic backlighting: side translucent red inserts begin to flicker while listening to music. Dexp H-520 headphones have a very comfortable and large headband, covered with foam rubber and synthetic leather for greater comfort. Thanks to four soft foam pads on the inside, they do not slip, they fit tightly, but at the same time they do not press, which often happens with these headphones. The headband is adjustable in circumference, so even for a person withbig head they fit perfectly.
A swivel microphone is attached to the left speaker. Unfortunately, it does not have any flexibility, as often happens on some devices. Soft ear cushions fit snugly around the ears and guarantee good suppression of external noise. Also, the manufacturer has not forgotten about the rest of the device. On this model, the 2.5 meter long wire is completely braided with red and black nylon, which contributes to greater wear resistance.
The volume control panel is made in accordance with the general design and is represented by three buttons: volume up, volume down and a mute / unmute button for the microphone.
Also, the device pleases with a massive USB plug. With it, you can easily and reliably connect the headset to your computer and not be afraid of accidentally removing the plug from the jack. However, you need to understand that with such dimensions, the use of an additional adapter from USB to MiniJack 3.5 may be accompanied by some inconvenience. In general, the 520th model in terms of performance and overall design is very similar to the Dexp H-350 headphones, but significantly improved compared to its predecessor.
Sound
Contrary to expectations and warnings from the Dexp manual, the headphones immediately come on alert when you first connect them. At the same time, the quality of the sound coming from the speakers can pleasantly surprise the average user. Very clear and surround sound will be appreciated by both movie and music lovers and avid gamers. Thanks to the wide range (20-20.000 Hz) you will have access tovarious sound options in excellent 7.1 quality, which, by the most modest estimates, surpasses the usual stereo for everyone.
The built-in microphone, by the way, also pleases with the quality. While in the working position, it easily picks up sound, but, as is inherent in other similar microphones, it does not work well at high volumes, so we advise you to speak in a calm tone whenever possible.
It is worth mentioning the drivers. As it turned out, their only purpose is to expand the settings of the headset, but not to improve its operation. However, when trying to install them from the specified link, there is a chance to encounter technical problems, the only way to solve which is to remove this software. So do it at your own risk.
Result
Dexp 520 are really good quality headphones. For a small price, you get fully working, stylish, durable headphones with high quality workmanship and, most importantly, sound.
The only significant disadvantage of this headset from Dexp is that the headphones are not equipped with good drivers that would reveal the full potential of the device.
