In the market of various electronic devices, we have known a company like teXet for a long time. This is a Russian company that calls itself Alkotel Electronic Systems, since 2004 it has been producing various players, electronic readers, car recorders, GPS systems and other gadgets that significantly help us in everyday life. Since the company is focused primarily on the CIS market, its price segment can be called “below average”.
Recently (just a few years), the company began to produce tablet computers. This was due to the growing popularity of such devices and their real wave of supplies from China. Having inexpensive equipment and economical assembly, teXet-devices were able to compete with the “Chinese”.

The tablet is based on Android 4.0.1, which makes it an almost universal electronic device capable of performing the functions of a reader, a gadget for surfing the net, a device for interacting with “toys” and much more.
Another interesting feature mentioned by the manufacturer in the description of the gadget is the presence of a 3D screen that can reproduce three-dimensional graphics in high quality. What this means for the average user, read on.
Device kit
First of all, we look at the set in which the device is offered to the buyer: what does the standard set include and which of its elements will be really useful to all of us (users of teXet TM-7025). In addition to the computer itself, it should be noted a charging adapter, headphones, a cable for connecting to a PC, as well as a connector for connecting to flash memory cards. The latter is especially convenient in the sense that it allows you to simplify the process of transferring information, making it accessible without a computer.
Many users note that they also do not quite understand the meaning of packing both a full-fledged charger and a cord for connecting to a PC with the device. In practice, teXet TM-7025 could have a network adapter and a portable micro-USB cable, it would be much more economical and convenient.
Another item that we came across with the tablet is a smart-cover leather case. By design, at least, itreally strongly resembles such covers that can be found on “apple” devices. True, as user reviews testify, although the accessory looks solid, the tablet itself constantly falls out of it due to an insufficiently strong attachment mechanism.
Device design
The next item that I would like to pay attention to is the appearance of the device, its design. True, the teXet TM-7025 tablet has a very simplified, “classic” design, like many 7-inch devices from Chinese manufacturers. However, some of the more basic Samsung also have this look. The Russian company has somewhat distinguished itself and presented its model in a case with thickened frames. Due to this, the device looks a little less attractive than it could. And in general, judging by the dimensions, we can say that the device is clearly devoid of any refinement and elegance. It doesn't make him any less interesting though.
The developers of the device came up with a rather original approach to the design of the device. So, they placed the navigation elements of the tablet in an interesting way, completely abandoning the generally accepted model (audio jack on the top panel, sound control - at the top right, power connector at the bottom). So, absolutely all the functional holes were placed on the bottom of the case, which looks a bit strange. The second point is the location of the screen lock button and the rocker to change the sound level - these elements are installed on the right side of the case in the lower segment. It turns out that the left side and top of the device remained empty.
The buttons on the front of the case can be called superfluous (they completely duplicate the same system keys from Android, located a little higher). The manufacturer installed the camera at the bottom, which forces you to turn the device over every time you want to use video calling services.
The back cover is presented in beautiful metal, which is very pleasant to the touch and feels great in the hands.
Display
Despite the developers' emphasis on the fact that the screen of the device has a 3D display function, in general, the display installed on the teXet TM-7025 tablet is also its weak point. You can tell that by looking at the screen resolution. It is only 800 by 480 pixels! This means that in high light conditions, all pixels simply fade, making it impossible to see what is shown on the screen in more detail.
Also, there is not enough sharpness of the picture, which we usually expect from touch-sensitive electronic devices. Therefore, the characteristics describing teXet TM-7025 (in terms of display) slightly separate it from other representatives of the segment (including inexpensive Chinese gadgets, the screen of which is much better). The pixel density here is very low: you can view the same 3D content here, but this is of little use to the user, since the picture will still not be sharp enough for him.
Processor
Drawing a parallel with how the characteristics describing the teXet TM-7025 presented the screen of the device, we can say thatThe “heart” of the gadget - its processor - also has not the most impressive parameters. Let's start with the fact that we are dealing with a processor clocked at 1 GHz.
With 512MB of RAM, the system allows the user to enjoy some simple but entertaining games and play videos. The disadvantage of the device is that the teXet TM-7025 tablet computer will not be able to provide you with proper work with expensive (in terms of graphics) toys that were focused on more powerful devices. Yes, and RAM, again, is greatly curtailed here. Perhaps, at the beginning of operation, the tablet will work smartly, but over time, apparently, delays may begin even when working with the menu and when performing the simplest operations. This situation is observed with all gadgets that have a small amount of RAM.
Operating system
As noted above, the device is offered with Android version 4.0.1. This is a fairly old modification, which, of course, has much fewer features than the modern 6th generation system (current at the time of this writing). However, given that we are talking about a cheap tablet from a Russian manufacturer, it is obvious that it will not be possible to upgrade to a more recent build here.
And in fact, many users, judging by the reviews, are interested in this. On the Internet, in many electronics forums, questions about how to flash a teXet TM-7025 flicker. This information may be of interestusers for various reasons: someone is not satisfied with the standard interface of the system, and someone, for example, wants to simply get rid of some error that occurred during the operation of the device.

Considering the budget of the device, we are not talking about the ability to connect SIM cards (3G / LTE are not available here, the gadget can only work with the Internet using a Wi-Fi module), as well as any navigation system (GPS is not here).
Probably, the manufacturers did not rely on this, having made a somewhat “truncated” (in terms of functionality) version of the tablet. However, as the reviews describing teXet TM-7025 show, many users have enough of what they have. Apparently, it's all about the purpose for which such a tablet is purchased: a child to school, for the simplest browsing the Internet, for reading books, and so on. In all these cases, such a simple modification of the tablet computer is ideal. Especially for such a price!

Speaking about the OS, I would also like to turn to what programs are available to the user on this device. In addition to standard Google applications, we can mention social networking programs installed by the manufacturer, some entertainment services, tools for checking the speed of the device, programs for watching television, and so on. Obviously, the manufacturer was generously sponsored by the developers of all these programs, which was the reason for such a variety of software. If you wish, you can delete all this by filling the space on the device with your favorite applications.
Autonomy
If we are talking about any gadget, the most important issue is the topic of its autonomy and speed of charge consumption. The hero of our review is no exception. Given its “budget” nature, there is nothing surprising in the fact that the battery is not the most capacious - only 3100 mAh.
For some smartphone, this volume would seem appropriate, but not for a whole tablet. Speedthe consumption here is also not the lowest (apparently, the screen makes itself felt), which is why, according to the information from the reviews, the charge will last no more than 4-5 hours of watching movies. As you understand, this is enough, except for working with the gadget on the road between home and work, followed by charging the device.
Increase the "life" of the device could be with the help of portable batteries, if this option is acceptable to you. However, another point is that a more or less decent power bank with a capacity suitable for us will cost as much as half of our tablet.
