Lenovo has firmly established one of the leading positions in the IT industry market. It confidently begins to replace competitors in a large number of areas. The Android tablet market is no exception, where Lenovo is also increasing the number of its gadgets.

In 2013, at the MWC exhibition, the company exhibited three new gadgets, one of which is the hero of our review - the Lenovo S6000 tablet. Its characteristics cannot be called “top-end”, but as for a state employee, they are quite good.

Judging by the technical characteristics, the Lenovo S600 tablet has almost characteristic performance for budget models. The only thing that makes it stand out is the presence of a very powerful battery, which prolongs the tablet's offline operation for several days. But more on that later.

Package

Comes Lenovo S6000 Tablet in a compact carton package. After removing the cover, you can see a modestly lying gadget with a charger, adapter, USB cable and instructions for use under it. But users have the opportunity to purchase an additional keyboard, HDMI cable and various adapters.

Appearance

When you first look at the Lenovo IdeaTab S6000 tablet, it makes a good first impression. Beautiful black facelooks very impressive. The back side has a more gray tint, but also causes only positive emotions.

Clearly in the center, on top of the screen, is the front camera, and below is the inscription Lenovo. Unfortunately, the glass on the front does not have an oleophobic coating and for this reason gets dirty very quickly. A fairly wide border around the sensor minimizes the likelihood of accidentally pressing it when held with one hand. There is nothing superfluous on the back panel. Only the 5MP camera is located next to the left speaker.

Top (if you hold the tablet horizontally) are: the lock-power button and the microphone. The right edge and bottom are completely free from any buttons and exits. On the left are: a rocker-shaped volume rocker button, USB and HDMI outputs, a headphone jack and a cover, when opened, you can see two slots for a SIM and a memory card.

Display

The Lenovo S6000 tablet has a pretty bright colorful display. And although its indicators are already a little outdated, in some cases it gives the impression of a full-fledged Full HD. But the screen here is made using an outdated version of the WXGA IPS-matrix with a resolution value of 1280x800 pixels.

The color reproduction is quite nice and the viewing angle is very large. The only thing is the presence of prints on the glass, which are visible when the tablet is tilted, due to the lack of an oleophobic coating. But these are trifles, because for its price category it is still very good.

Cameras

Tablets of higher pricecategories, unlike state employees, are most often equipped with two cameras. But this is not the case with the Lenovo S 6000. Reviews about it almost always begin with admiration for the presence of two video recorders of acceptable quality.

The main camera has a 5 megapixel sensor. You can take good pictures with it. But the main condition is the presence of good lighting. There is no flash, in case of cloudy weather, various noises appear on the video and photos. The front camera of 0.3 megapixels can’t shoot much and you can’t do a selfie, since the image is disgusting. But it is also intended for video communication, for which it is quite enough. For this reason, we will not focus on it.

Performance

The hardware of the Lenovo S6000 tablet is based on the fairly popular MediaTek MT8389 processor. It has 4 cores clocked at up to 1200 MHz each. These parameters are enough to run not very "heavy" games and applications. In addition, 1 GB of RAM will allow you to quickly respond to actions.

Has Lenovo S6000 3G tablet module and 16GB memory. This is quite enough to store a couple of seasons of your favorite series and a music library. Approximately 5 GB is allocated to the system itself. By turning on all the modules, surfing the Internet or editing documents, you can not observe any slowdowns. The PowerVR SGX544 graphics core is not strong enough to run colorful 3D games without problems, and freezes very oftenframes. This is unpleasant, but can be solved by using applications on smaller parameters.

Battery

About the battery, the Lenovo S 6000 tablet has the best reviews. All this thanks to a capacity of 6300 mAh. Tests have shown that with moderate use of the gadget, it is enough for battery life for several days.

While watching HD movies online (via a Wi-Fi connection) and lowering the brightness to medium settings, users note battery life in the form of 11 hours of continuous operation. Agree, for a tablet with a ten-inch screen, which belongs to the budget option, this figure is very high. After the battery is completely discharged, it takes only 3 hours to reach its 100% capacity.

Conclusions
