Proper connection of washing machines is the key to their quality and safe operation. It is not difficult to do it yourself, the main thing is to follow certain rules and a sequence of actions. The installation of an automatic machine is conditionally divided into several stages: preparation, connection to communications and the power grid, adjustment of the legs and checking the performance of the equipment.
Preparing for installation
Before you start connecting washing machines, all fasteners and shipping parts are removed. After removing them, the tank should take its normal position, i.e., arbitrarily "hang" on the shock-absorbing springs. The holes left after unscrewing the fixing bolts should be closed with plastic plugs that are supplied with the machine. Remember that all this work is done in the first place, because if the inclusion is made with the transport parts not removed, they will damage the drum and can completely disable the device.
Washing machine connection: drain
The next step after preparation is to connect the machine to the drain communications. In models without a special check valve that allows water to pass in one direction, manufacturers install the outlet hose (pipe) at a certain height. The connection of the water drainage system of an automatic washing machine with a sewer is carried out using an additional siphon, which must be installed. The drain hose connects securely to the sink drain system, eliminating the slightest leak.
Of course, some people connect washing machines according to a more simplified scheme, namely, they fix the drain pipe on the side of the washbasin or bathtub. However, this method is rather unreliable, because you can accidentally touch the hose, and then the flood cannot be avoided. Therefore, the water drain device must be stationary. After completing this work, it is necessary to check the location of the hose - it must be straightened and not have bends. Then it must be firmly fixed to the back of the washing machine.
Connecting washing machines to the plumbing system
Special 3/4 flexible hoses are ideal for this. Connecting the machine to the water supply can be done in several ways. One of them provides for a separate valve. It is installed on the desired section of the water supply by cutting a new thread. Such a tap allows you to turn off the water to the washing machine after each wash. When installing it, you should also take care of installing a protective mesh -filter, which will prevent small particles from entering the machine from the pipeline. Such a filter, of course, should be cleaned periodically.
The second way is to connect the automatic washing machine to the water supply through a conventional faucet. However, this option can be used as a temporary solution, as it is quite inconvenient. Firstly, you will have to buy a long hose, and secondly, every time before washing, you will need to remove the tap from the mixer and connect the hose there.
Final stage
After completing these operations, install the washing machine firmly by adjusting the feet. If this is not done, then during the spin cycle it will make a lot of noise and vibrate. Before connecting the machine to the mains, the switchboard must be grounded.
