Ventilation is almost imperceptible, but plays a very significant role in the life of every modern person. Fresh air is needed both at work and at home. However, quite often in everyday life we are faced with the absence or weak power of air circulation systems. Many do not suspect that the presence of dampness in the corners of the bathroom is a sign of a bad hood, and a headache may be caused by a lack of fresh air. At the same time, few people will remember about duct fans. But in vain!
Simple ventilation, which brings air from the street into the room, as well as hoods with a clogged ventilation shaft, is not enough. Natural ventilation is often ineffective. In some cases, it is simply necessary to think about creating a forced (mechanical) air exchange system. Duct fans will come to the rescue.
In a specially designed system, air flows through flexible and rigid air ducts, heaters, silencers and other special devices. Perhaps the most important part of this whole complex design is the fan. A round (or rectangular) duct fan is built in, as you might guess, into the duct. Or they can be attached to air ducts of appropriate shapes.
Due to their compact design and the ability to install in any position (horizontal, vertical or inclined), these products have gained wide popularity.
Designers and builders prefer such equipment, because it is reliable in operation, very easy to install and does not require particularly complex maintenance. When installing a fan of this type, manufacturers recommend using special mounting brackets and clamps, with which installation (and, if necessary, dismantling) becomes even easier. In addition, these useful devices prevent the transmission of vibration to the air ducts.
As a rule, all duct fans have the possibility of multi-stage speed control, and some models are equipped with restartable thermal contacts that protect the motor from overheating. The line of equipment is represented by a wide range of capacities. In addition, modern manufacturers produce polymer-coated plastic models that have an aesthetically attractive design. Round duct fan made of galvanized steel, in turn, in addition to a good externalappearance, it also has high strength and corrosion resistance, which is valuable in many cases.
Such obvious advantages and excellent consumer characteristics make it possible to use this technique for ventilation in industrial and public buildings of various purposes. Swimming pools, gyms, classrooms, production and kitchen workshops, cafes, shops, laboratories - the normal functioning of these premises is impossible without forced air exchange.
It is worth noting some restrictions: duct fans must not be used to transport corrosive and explosive gases, as well as polluted air.
