Surely most motorists cannot spend even an hour behind the wheel in silence. Therefore, many of them install powerful speakers and a high-quality source of music - a radio tape recorder. If a little earlier the radio in the car was considered an element of luxury, today things are different. There are so many of them, and all are equipped with such different functionality that the buyer often does not know what he needs. Let's look at the problem and talk about the choice of this equipment.

What kind of radio can be in a car?

The media player data can be divided into two broad categories - those that show videos and those that don't. The first ones are equipped with monitors, the second type does not have them, however, they may have screens that show the level of certain audio frequencies (colloquially called “equalizer”).

There are other varieties of this equipment. Installed radio tape recorders in the car are also distinguished by the way they read media files and, if possible, play one or anotherformat.

There are only three ways to read information - these are magnetic cassettes, CDs and USB flash drives that have already gone out of use and production. Radios that support CDs also differ from each other in the ability to read certain formats of the discs themselves. It has long been out of use, but you can still find CD-recorders. This is due to the fact that only a small number of tracks (usually one album) can be burned into a machine. They were replaced by radios that support MP3 format. Thanks to this, 10 or even 13-15 times more songs can be placed on a regular CD.

MP3 radios that can read CDs are still a hit. However, they are gradually being replaced by DVD players, because one DVD disc can hold 7-8 times more MP3 songs than a CD.

Modern radios that support DVD or CD began to be produced with the ability to connect USB flash drives (flash drives) to them. However, there are also such audio systems that are designed only for them. A flash drive is by far the most convenient storage medium, since writing any data to it can be done much easier and faster, and its very small size makes this medium more practical to use. Therefore, a car radio that supports both flash drives and disc reading is the best option to purchase.

Additional information

Before you enjoy intrip with musical compositions, you must first burn a disc. Depending on the type of radio drive on the computer, the correct recording parameters must be set, but in order not to risk it, it is best to record at the lowest speed. As for the flash drive, there is no difference how to do it, because recording on these storage media is done through a special port that does not require any settings.

The radio in the car may also have multiple audio channel outputs, so the speaker system will need to support them. Players can also have removable panels, a customizable equalizer, support Internet access, Bluetooth, connection of various devices (iPod, for example), etc. It is important to understand: the “cooler” the radio tape recorder is, the more expensive it is.
