"Lumia Nokia 710" is a smartphone running Windows Phone 7.5, which was released on October 26, 2011. Equipped with a 3.7-inch high-contrast TFT display with Gorilla Glass protection (a special glass that protects the display from scratches and bumps). For a small screen, the resolution is excellent: 480 x 800 pixels (252 ppi). The matrix can reproduce 16 million or more colors.
Appearance
The design of the Lumiya Nokia 710 smartphone resembles the Nokia 603, the previous model of the Finnish manufacturer, but still on the Symbian operating system. The front panel of the smartphone consists of several elements: on top - the illumination module, speaker, proximity sensor; bottom - back button, exit to the main desktop and call the search function. The opposite side contains a camera (5 MP) with an LED flash on top and a grid of holes for the main speaker on the bottom. The manufacturer equipped the right edge with a volume rocker and a button to start the camera. On the left there is only a notch that helps to remove the back cover. 3.5mm jack, on/off button, MicroUSBplaced on the top edge. Stylish panels in bright colors will help diversify the look.
Camera
The Lumiya Nokia 710 uses a 5 MP photo module with the following features:
- LED flash.
- Autofocus.
- 4x zoom.
For travelers, a new camera feature - Geotagging - will be a godsend. This mode adds the geographic coordinates of the point where the picture is taken to the photo. For this function, it is necessary to keep the GPS turned on, which quickly drains the battery of the Nokia Lumia 710. The photo turns out to be of average quality - sufficient for social networks, but it will not suit professionals. The camera can be set to HD video mode. The maximum video resolution is 1280 x 720 pixels (30 fps). An example of a photo taken by the Nokia Lumia 710 can be seen below.
Hardware
The Nokia Lumia 710 smartphone has a standard single-core ARM processor, as for all budget devices. It is made using 45 nm Qualcomm MSM8255 technology with a clock frequency of 1.4 GHz and Adreno 205 graphics. For the operation of the interface, making calls, sending / receiving messages, the Internet and wireless networks, the processor's performance is even excessive. The menu works without freezes, smoothly, responsiveness to touch is good. Nokia has always been famous for its interface design.
The graphics chip is head and shoulders above its predecessor (Adreno 200) and comparable in computing power to a competitorMali 400. Multimedia content is played correctly, HD video can be watched without conversion to screen resolution. Most games can be played without fear of system lag.
ARM MSM8255 belongs to the second generation (S2) of Qualcomm's Snapdragon processor family. With it, smartphones support DDR2 memory, HD video recording, 12 MP camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth.
Specifications
In "Lumia Nokia 710" there are such modules as:
- Wi-Fi wireless module (b/n/g).
- Two communication standards - 2G/3G.
- GPS (A-GPS) navigation.
- DLNA is a technology that connects a smartphone to a home network (laptops, computers, consumer electronics, other phones). Allows you to receive and broadcast video, music, pictures in real time.
- Bluetooth 2.1 supporting 5x power reduction technology (EDR function).
Device memory - 512 MB of RAM and 8 GB of internal flash memory. Additionally, you can add 25 GB of memory reserved to the buyer of the smartphone in the cloud storage of Microsoft Corporation. Such a generous gift will help not to clutter up the memory of Lumia 710, but to upload any files "to the cloud" with the ability to access "24/7" from any device, if the Internet is available.
Battery capacity is not amazing, only 1300 mAh. But since the screen is small and there is only one processor, on a single charge the device functions for 16 days in standby mode, 7 hours of talk time, 38 hours ofmultimedia entertainment. Enabled wireless modules halve/triple the operating time.
Reviews
Owners are ambivalent about the Nokia Lumiya 710. Reviews are full of both enthusiastic and negative ratings. The positive qualities include durability, “indestructibility” of the model, ergonomics of the case and thoughtful arrangement of control keys, convenience in everyday use, build quality, a choice of bright colors of the case, responsiveness of the interface, the presence of physical buttons under the display instead of touch ones, a well-read screen with a sufficient margin of brightness and contrast. Windows Phone is handy for simple tasks built into the operating system.
There are not so many shortcomings in the model, but some of them seriously complicate the operation of the smartphone. Cons of the Lumiya 710 smartphone: a soiled display, poor compatibility with a PC, insufficient volume of the speaker and microphone, third-party programs that are not very compatible with Windows Phone, a rather weak battery; can reboot on its own, the 3G module can lose the network; confusing Bluetooth settings, does not support external memory cards.
A lot of complaints about the need to install the Zune PC application, without which it is difficult to download additional programs, games, music. Even following the instructions, not everyone is able to combine Lumiya with a computer.
Camera and display are rated neutral. Pictures in sunny weather are clear, good video quality. If it is cloudy, the photos lack juiciness and clarity. Night photography is betterdon't experiment. The screen of the smartphone, though bright, but easily soiled. You have to walk around with microfiber in your pocket.
In general, the quality of workmanship, functionality, hardware are rated well. Most of the complaints are about the software part.
Cost
The 2011 model is still selling well. On the Nokia Lumiya 710, the price depends on the region, and it varies from 140 to 270 dollars. In Russia, Ukraine, CIS prices are comparable. At flea markets, a serviceable used model can be purchased for $50-60.
