The Irbis TZ70 (8gb) tablet can be called one of the cheapest devices currently sold in Russian stores. For a seven-inch gadget with support for two SIM cards in retail, they ask for less than five thousand rubles, and if you additionally issue an operator contract, the purchase will cost even less.
Let's try to figure out if the budget Irbis TZ70 is worth the attention of unpretentious buyers. The reviews of the owners about the tablet (and numerous) vary greatly, but if they are, then the device is in demand and finds its buyer.
In general, judging by the statistics, seven-inch gadgets have been wildly popular with domestic consumers for many years now and occupy the top lines of various ratings and reviews. Such tablets with the same success can be used both for reading books and for watching news with movies. Naturally, inexpensive models on the Android platform diverge best of all.
Almost every manufacturer wants to bring gadgets to the market at the lowest price, but with acceptable performance. The Russian brand Lanit, which produces the Irbis series, is no exception, distinguished by its availability and support for 4G speeds.
When you take any budget gadget in your hand, you are already on a subconscious level preparing for the appropriate surroundings: brakes, friezes, squeaks, backlashes and other components. Let's see if "Irbis" became an exception or confirmed all the mentioned clichés.
Package set
The contents of the box are not much different from similar devices in this segment. An extra case, a stylus, or a set of headset adds significantly to the cost of the tablet, so it's not surprising that they are missing.
Scope of delivery:
- Irbis tablet itself;
- charger;
- cable for data exchange between a computer and a micro-USB\USB device;
- manual completely in Russian;
- warranty card.
In stock everything is only the most necessary, without any frills and innovations. If you wish, you can easily buy some accessory separately for the Irbis TZ70. Owner reviews about the package are mostly positive: a good and strong box, a monolithic charger without gaps, detailed instructions and a sync cable of sufficient length.
Dimensions
Many users consider seven- and eight-inch gadget models to be ideal in terms of dimensions. The Irbis tablet falls a little short of this level and looks more like an e-reader.
The dimensions of the 7-inch TZ70 gadget are standardized: 192 x 120 x 11 mm and weighs 270 grams. The device is quite compact andIt is quite comfortable to handle it with one hand. The device feels great in a women's handbag, backpack or business briefcase. The model is soiled, so it is better to immediately take care of the protection of the Irbis TZ70. Reviews on this subject are unequivocal: the gadget collects all the dust and dirt, like a vacuum cleaner, which means that the first thing to do after buying a tablet is to buy at least some kind of protective film or bag/case.
Design
With its appearance, the Irbis is not much different from most budget models: simple, without any frills, and modest. The whole body is assembled from plastic: the back side has a leather coating (matte) with stitching along the edges, and the front side has a pure gloss. The front part naturally collects fingerprints and dust, while the back is more practical in this regard, but prone to scratches. The case looks more or less monolithic, and the parts fit, as they say, to the conscience.
Front
Almost the entire front part is occupied by a touch screen. The edging frame has attributes that are classic for seven-inch gadgets: a little narrower in length and thicker in width. On top of the vertical part of the screen, you can see the front camera eye at 0.3 megapixels. Its capabilities are only enough for Skype calls or simple selfies for avatars, after all, this is not a camera, but a budget Irbis TZ70 tablet. The accelerometer and a pretty good speaker for playing voice calls were very warmly received by users, which allows you to use the gadget as a classic smartphone.
On the right side inOn the top we will see a button to turn off and lock the screen, as well as a rocker to adjust the volume. Nearby are a micro USB port and a headset interface (3.5 mm).
Rear
On the back side is the main camera with a resolution of 2 megapixels (sadly, no flash). Under the plastic cover there are slots for two SIM cards (standard size) and a place for micro-SD memory cards.
At the bottom of the device there is a speaker for audio playback with a very good margin of maximum volume, although this point is poorly developed here: above average, the sound stream begins to wheeze and hiss.
In general, the build quality of the tablet can be assessed as a solid four.
Display
Irbis TZ70 (firmware TZ70. FW.2015-09-06) has a very modest resolution of 1024x600 pixels, which is a very small figure by modern standards. The only thing that pleases is the presence of an IPS matrix, but nevertheless, pixelation is visible in text documents and in the photo. But if you don’t look closely, then you can work, after all, we have the Irbis TZ70 state employee in our hands. The display is generally adequate: the level of brightness and contrast is sufficient, and the color gamut does not look completely artificial. The output image is juicy, and working on a sunny day does not cause any problems or discomfort.
Irbis TZ70's visibility and visual tilt also do not cause any serious complaints. You can easily scroll through the photo orwatch movies with one or two friends. The only thing that causes discomfort when working with the tablet is the vertical viewing angles: as soon as you tilt the gadget a little, the colors begin to invert, which cannot be said about the horizontal scan - everything is in order here.
Work offline
The Irbis TZ70 tablet (firmware TZ70. FW.2015-09-06) is equipped with a 2800 mAh lithium-ion battery. With intensive use of the device (wi-fi, high-definition video, demanding games), it will last about four hours. If you surf the Internet not so often and use the tablet to view photos or read books, then the battery will run down for about a day. Average charging time (up to 100%) about 2.5 hours.
Summing up
The budget segment of seven-inch gadgets is not just saturated, but, without exaggeration, oversaturated. On the shelves of stores you can see gadgets of any color and with a diverse set of characteristics. Model TZ70 is a bright representative of its class. The low price resulted in a very slow speed, a small amount of RAM, a mediocre camera and the same screen where pixelation is visible.
Of the obvious advantages, one can note the ability to work at 4G speeds, a good platform, compact size and, of course, the price tag. But nevertheless, to level the existing shortcomings at the price of a gadget, alas, it is not able to fully. Therefore, it is difficult to recommend this tablet for purchase - it is too thoughtful and slow. Much more interesting, and more practical, to look after something moresmart with 3G, but for the same money, or save up for a more expensive and high-quality model if you really need 4G. Fortunately, there is a choice in stores, and let domestic “pancakes” go lumpy and improve for now. Maybe in the future Lanit will surprise us with a quality gadget, but today the entire lineup of the brand is lost in a pile of Chinese counterparts.
