Good household appliances are never superfluous, the stumbling block is most often its size. Many of us thought about this when, buying the next thing, we lost in our minds where and how to place it. And this applies not only to TVs, electric fireplaces or refrigerators - even such a seemingly compact thing as a microwave oven can be a big problem for a small kitchen in one-room apartments.
The size of the microwave, of course, is immediately taken into account when buying. And large microwave ovens, of which there are quite a few on the market, can discourage potential buyers from purchasing them. There can be only one way out - look for small microwave ovens, which will be discussed in this article. Such devices have a number of advantages and disadvantages. And we will talk about them further.
The size of the microwave does not depend ononly on the size of the body itself, but also on the internal parts. So, the larger the volume of the chamber for dishes, the larger the body. So if you're short on space in your kitchen and dreaming of a small and compact microwave, don't think you can fit large containers of food in it. On the other hand, if you expect a "miracle" and a panacea for all things in the kitchen from the microwave, and at the same time you will not find a place for such a device, we will disappoint you.
Pros of a solo oven
Solo-oven may well "feed" a family of four. At the same time, such devices have a fairly good power - up to 900 W - which allows you to cope with the heating of food quickly and without any extra effort. The solo oven is a lifesaver for young parents: the device is ideal for baby food, which must be at the right temperature so that the child does not catch a cold.
Exact dimensions of small microwave ovens
So, what can we say about the size of the microwave more specifically? What are they like? Words are words, but in order to determine the dimensions of the devices and whether it is worth filling an already cramped kitchen with them, we need clearer data, even if we are talking about the smallest microwaves.
The dimensions of most devices are on average 50 centimeters wide and long, and about 40 cm deep. The smallest devices with parameters of 30 centimeters are the most compact and lightest. The volume of the internal chamber for microwave ovens of this type rarely reaches more than 16 liters, the diameter of the rotating saucer is 24 centimeters. In principle, such a device can even fit in a kitchen cabinet, not to mention a small area reserved specifically for a microwave on a table oron the fridge.
Built-in microwaves
A device such as a built-in microwave deserves special consideration. The dimensions of such ovens, designed to be placed in specially designated niches of kitchen panels, can, by the way, be twice as large as that of a conventional solo oven. In addition, this solution also solves the problem of the functionality of the device: a medium-sized microwave oven can be placed in a niche, and this will not affect the space in the kitchen.
Designers came up with a great solution while solving two problems at the same time: convenience and beauty. So, kitchen panels are perfect for small and cramped rooms - you can conveniently place all the necessary appliances in them, regardless of the dimensions, if they really correspond to the size of the niches reserved for these appliances. The built-in microwave is no exception.
Sizes of such devices, as a rule, from 45 to 60 centimeters in width, and a minimum depth of 30 cm. The largest models have a depth of 60 centimeters, which is twice the size of a conventional solo oven. The volume of the inner chamber, respectively, also increases - from 17 to 45 liters. The niche in this case, of course, saves small apartments and those who like to cook in microwave ovens, who live in these apartments.
