The Internet today is so firmly established in our lives that it is almost impossible to imagine the activity of a modern person without it. Judge for yourself, because many banking services or even payment for housing and communal services are tied specifically to the Internet. And this is not about popular social networks, in which almost all politicians consider it their duty to leave a publication. But, digressing from the scope of such technologies, let's see how to set up the Internet in Windows systems. We will consider them solely because they are the most common operating systems in the post-Soviet space.
How to set up the Internet on a computer: basic connection options and types of actions
Before proceeding to the direct setup of the Internet connection, you should decide which connection will be used. Today, you can use a wired and wireless connection. Wired connections via conventional(and not ADSL) modems will not be considered, since they are, to put it mildly, irrelevant due to the low access speed. Let's focus on the usual cable connection and connection based on routers (routers and ADSL modems operating in wireless mode).
As far as how to set up an Internet connection, most of the steps for both types of connection are the same. The difference is only in some specific settings. Separately, we will touch on the actions that allow you to turn an ordinary stationary PC or laptop into a distributing server (to increase the signal, connect more devices, etc.).

So, let's start with a wired connection, in which the network cable is connected directly to the port of the Ethernet card, for which, of course, all the necessary drivers must be installed. How to set up the Internet in the 7th or any other version of Windows?
In all cases, you will first need to use the network and sharing management section, which is located in the standard "Control Panel".
Here you need to set the creation of a new connection and select the Internet connection and its type, after which you will only have to follow the additional instructions of the customizer. Upon completion of the creation of the connection, it will be possible to use it immediately, but only on condition that the provider provides automaticsettings (for example, when using dynamic IP addresses).
In this case, if you change the properties of the network connection and go to the properties of the IPv4 protocol, the input fields for the required addresses will be inactive.
