New cars are often equipped with fairly simple sound systems. They don't deliver deep bass or clear highs. Of course, such speakers are also suitable for listening to the news, but such speaker systems will cause real disgust for real music lovers, because you won’t hear normal music in them. It is quite another thing - the acquisition of a normal speaker system. In this case, you need to choose one of two options: component or coaxial acoustics.
Some become adherents of coaxial speaker systems. Such all-weather acoustics consists of several speakers, each of which reproduces sounds of a strictly defined frequency. The frequencies are separated by special filters - crossovers. They recognize the frequency of the signal and transmit it to a specific speaker. Sometimes, mostly in more expensivestereo models, the crossovers are housed in a separate cabinet to protect sounds from unintentional mixing.
For the right sound, you need to choose the right filter materials. Thanks to filters, coaxial acoustics reproduce a wider frequency range than broadband ones. Often such acoustics are also placed on special podiums, which greatly improves the sound quality.
Another type of acoustic systems, more widely spread among real car enthusiasts-music lovers, is component acoustics. Like coaxial acoustics, it has become widespread. The principle of its device is very similar to the device of coaxial acoustics, but there is one slight difference. If in the previous speaker system the speakers of all three groups of frequencies are located in the same housing, then in the component system the low-frequency, mid-range and high-frequency speakers are separated from each other. Consequently, the motorist gets three separate speakers, which are best placed close to each other. In this case, a good musical picture is obtained that will satisfy even the most picky listener.
There are a few basic tips that are important when choosing any coaxial speaker system. First, the key is to choose speakers for their sound, not their appearance. Of course, the design of the speakers should match the design of the car interior, but this is not as important as the right sound. Second, rememberthat speaker crossovers are the main working part. The degree of sound separation depends on the number of filter elements, because the more of them, the better the sound quality. Thirdly, regardless of the type of acoustic system (component or coaxial acoustics), it is desirable to use them with an external amplifier. In this case, the sound will be better. If the speaker system is connected to a car radio or other head unit, pay attention to the sensitivity of the speaker, since the maximum sound volume will depend on it. Recommended sensitivity - from 92 decibels.
