Siren

First of all, a siren is installed in the engine compartment. Please note that it should be located as far as possible from sources of high temperature, not exposed to moisture, not create obstacles during repair work, and the horn must be positioned towards the ground.

Continue setting the Tomahawk alarm. The instruction recommends further mounting the hood limit switch. Here you can use any hole that would be suitable for this purpose. Take care tothe limit switch had enough free play from below and did not rest anywhere, and also ensure reliable contact.

Temperature sensor

When it is installed, connect the black wire to vehicle ground and the light wire should be soldered to the one coming off the hood switch (orange/grey).

Antenna

The next step in installing the Tomahawk alarm is to install the antenna. The best place for this, according to many, is the upper left corner on the windshield. After the antenna, install the LED where you like best.

Now let's move on to more complex actions. The instrument panel, bottom cover and steering column lining are removed. Next - the signal wire for opening the central lock must be closed to ground directly, but the closing wire is closed to it, only through resistance (no more than 1.5 kOhm).

Connection of central locks

Now you need to bring in the proper form of the central locking connector. Cut or simply coil the black-blue and black-green wires, as they will notinvolved. But to green you need to solder the resistance with heat shrink. Further, what we have done needs to be soldered with a blue wire, and the gray-blue and gray-green are twisted and soldered together. Now with the help of electrical tape everything is compactly fixed.

"Dive" under the central panel and find the relay of central locks. As a rule, there are three of them, and we are interested in the largest. Next, a gray wire with silver stripes is taken and soldered to the connector. The second, respectively, is connected to the "mass".

Now we take the main connection connector (18 PIN) and connect the wire that goes to the feet. As a rule, it is green with a white stripe. Further under the tidy we find three connectors: two on the left, one on the right. We solder the wires there according to the scheme, after which we isolate them. In the same area, using double-sided tape, we attach the shock sensor.

Now get the schematic for your ignition switch. There are two connectors, one of which is for four wires, the other for two. In the first, blue-black is the starter, blue goes to IG1, red-black goes to IG2, white-black goes to ACC. The two-wire connector consists of two +12V wires.

Remote start

We connect the power connector from the remote start: blue-black to yellow-black, while this connector must be between the blocking relay and the starter. Then white-black to blue, blue to yellow from the connector, black-red to green from the same connector, and finally black to the red wire of the connector (thin with thick). Reddefinitely last.

It is not necessary to solder the latching relay wiring to the remote start power connector at this point. Just enough to isolate. After installing the above relay, you need to cut the blue-black wire. Since the relay has a numbering of connectors, we look carefully so that the starter wire is connected to 87A, but 30 and 86 must fit the wire to the ignition switch. Yellow-black, which comes from the main connector of the alarm unit, we also connect with 85. Well, 87 remains superfluous.

Now all these connectors must be connected to the central unit, after which we connect the alarm to the car battery. As you understand, before starting this procedure, the power supply must be disconnected to prevent a short circuit and fire in the wiring.

Let's move on to the next stage of installing our Tomahawk alarm. The instruction suggests programming key fobs. This must be done so that the alarm can see them. When this point is completed, we proceed to the test. First, let's test autorun. If the check was successful, we proceed to testing the central lock. If not, we return to the previous points.

Doors

When the checks are done, you will find that even though the car doors are closed, the key fob reports that they are open. This is because you and I have not yet installed limit switches on the doors. This is done in the same way as installing a limit switch on the hood. We are about itsaid at the very beginning, so there is no point in telling it all over again.

When we figured out the doors, we move on to the final steps. Now it is necessary to solder and insulate the power wires that go to the ignition switch, as well as to the blocking relay. Next, you need to carefully lay out the wires and wind them in such a way that they do not stick out anywhere and do not interfere with anything. Do not allow them to come into contact with sharp or pointed objects or surfaces as the latter may damage the insulating layer.

Now we fix the main unit, return the tidy and the rest of the panels to their places. We check the operation of our alarm again. After that, configure, as you need, the shock sensor and other functions that interest you. It is fair to say that both the Tomahawk alarm 7010 (the instruction is almost identical) and 9010 can be installed in this way.
