In October last year, Apple's mini-tablet was introduced to the laptop market. Its appearance became possible only after the death of the founder of the corporation, Steve Jobs. He believed that "apple" laptops should have a screen size of at least 10 inches. Otherwise apps designed specifically for
devices manufactured by the company will not work correctly, with crashes and freezes. But market prospects have forced today's management to release Apple's mini tablet. Release and make no mistake.
Technical characteristics of the "small brother" are not particularly different from full-sized tablets. By and large, they come down to two features that have made this tablet less popular. Mini Apple received reviews full of disappointment. This is due to the installed IPS matrix. The previous version had Retina in its design, about which users leave more flattering comments. However, the display gives a rather colorful picture with its expansion of 1264x768 pixels. There are no negative characteristics of multitouch properties in the reviews. The tablet works confidently, does not lose with its full-sizecompetitors in response speed, does not freeze. The display is protected by a special layer called
oleophobic. It helps protect the screen from fingerprints. Another difference is the connector for the charger. Firstly, none of the other from earlier models is now suitable for charging. And secondly, such a connector perceives only a digital signal.
Of course, Apple's mini tablet has obvious differences from previous models. This is weight (308-312 grams), dimensions (200x135x7, 2 millimeters). Such characteristics allow you to conveniently fix the laptop in the palm of your hand and work on it for a long time. The last sign is supported by a fairly powerful and economical battery that allows you to use the device for several hours in a row.
Apple's mini tablet is equipped with a dual-core processor with an integrated graphics chip that can handle and present any content with dignity
graphic information. The flash memory of the tablet is presented in the usual formats of 16, 32 and 64 GB.
Apple's mini-tablet does not differ from its "senior" counterparts in the location of stereo speakers (on the bottom edge of the device), connectors for headphone and microphone plugs, and a place for the on/off button (on the top edge of the device). On the front panel, as well as on other Apple models, there is a camera lens and a Home button. On the right edge of the tablet is the volume control and image lock.
Apple's mini-tablet, the price of which did not surprisemass buyer, remaining constant for a laptop of this class, looks solid, despite its small size. The tablet is presented in several body colors. Minimalism makes the device aristocratic.
By October 2013, the company introduced to the market a more modified version of mini-tablets - Apple iPad mini 2. Unlike its predecessor, this device has a higher resolution display - 2048x1536 pixels, a more advanced camera. Manufacturers have increased the data transfer rate to 300 Mb / s. Sales of new items are expected from November 2013.
